Throughout the 16-ish years that I've been living in Florida, I've never taken a trip to Miami just to enjoy the city. I've got family in the area, so it's not like I'm a stranger to the city entirely, but I've never gone just for the sake of it until a couple of days ago.
My sister, her friend, and I took a recent trip to Miami for the day. Aside from the cat-calling and the lack of solid plans, we ended up having a lot of fun.
Next time, though, I want to see the museums! I was hoping to stop in at FIU's Wolfsonian, but it didn't end up fitting into our day. We ended up getting there too late to see Villa Vizcaya, as well, which looks AMAZING from the pictures that I've seen.
This just means I have an excuse to go back.
